Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta believes that winning Euro 2012 will be the toughest task his side have had.
Spain are highly favoured for the tournament in Poland and Ukraine after winning Euro 2008 and the World Cup in 2010, but Iniesta alerted his side that they will have to step up a notch to come out on top in Poland and Ukraine.
Everything that is in the past is always easier than what is to come, Iniesta told reporters.
These Euros will be much harder than the World Cup we won. This team is ready. I like to live the present, what lies ahead.
We have a very beautiful challenge ahead which will be a lot tougher than the previous one.
Spain begin their European Championship campaign against Italy on June 10 before taking on the Republic of Ireland and Croatia.
Prior to the start of the tournament, Vicente del Bosque s men will meet China in a friendly on Sunday.
