MLS club New England Revolution have announced the signing of French forward Saer Sene on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
Joining from the Bundesliga side, Sene, 25, spent the last two years with Bayern s reserve side.
He scored 19 goals in 55 appearances for the club, called up to the senior team twice during the 2009-10 season.
Revolution manager Michael Burns said Sene has already gelled with the squad ahead of his signing.
We had the chance to have Saer in camp with us in Arizona and see him interact with our players both on and off the field, Burns said.
We believe he ll play a valuable role for us this season. He s scored goals consistently with each of his previous clubs, and we believe he has the ability to continue to do so in MLS.
As per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
New England will begin their 2012 MLS regular season on March 10, with a trip to Buck Shaw Stadium to take on the San Jose Earthquakes.
