Today a written offer for Yuri from PSG arrived and he is now allowed to undergo a medical, Aperribay said.

Inter Milan want Cedric Soares

According to a report from Sky Italia, Inter Milan are currently in advanced talks over the possible signing of Cedric Soares, also known simply as Cedric, from Premier League club Southampton. The 27 year old is currently out with a calf injury, although he has been an integral part of their back four throughout the course of the season thus far. Cedric first signed for the Saints back in 2015 and has made over 100 appearances for the south coast club since then, after making the jump over from Sporting Lisbon.

Inter Milan have been eager to add to their defensive ranks for quite some time now, with Cedric being viewed as a solid option for them moving forward. He is also a Portugal international, making many appearances for his national team since debuting back in 2014.

Fergie wanted Gundogan

According to a recent Rene Meulensteen interview, Sir Alex Ferguson was interested in bringing Ilkay Gundogan to Old Trafford back in 2013. The legendary Scot was able to manage some of the best players in world football throughout the course of his illustrious career, and as it turns out, he was hoping to add one or two more to his ranks before hanging up his managerial chewing gum for good.

Gundogan, 27, was with Borussia Dortmund at the time, and this was three years before he eventually made the jump over to United s local rivals Manchester City. The German midfielder was seen as the next incarnation of Paul Scholes, which is arguably one of the highest forms of praise he could ve received.

While the trajectory of both clubs likely wouldn t have changed all too muc…

Ronaldo and Cavani deliver for Solskjaer as toothless Tottenham provide perfect tonic for Man Utd

A dire defeat against Liverpool proved to be fatal for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United in 2018, but an even more humiliating loss to the Reds didn t – somehow – spell the end for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and he continues to cling on.

That s not to say it was a comfortable week for Solskjaer after that 5-0 annihilation at Old Trafford – if you believe the speculation, he probably wouldn t have been in charge for Saturday s trip to Tottenham were it not for Alex Ferguson coming into bat for his former player in the boardroom.

Solskjaer was afforded time, how much we can t be sure, but it was enough to at least prevent United suffering three successive league defeats for the first time since December 1961, with the Red Devils so effective and clinical in a 3-0 victor…

Brandt confident Germany can return to the top

Julian Brandt described Germany s 2018 as like getting smashed in the face , yet he is confident Die Mannschaft can recover and become an elite side again.

World Cup winners in 2014, Joachim Low s side offered a meek title defence in Russia as they bowed out at the group stage, and they were then relegated from the Nations League top tier having finished bottom of a group featuring Netherlands and France.

This calendar year has not started much better for Germany, who were booed off at half-time of Wednesday s 1-1 draw with Serbia in a friendly in Wolfsburg, yet Brandt is confident that the team s quality will soon shine through.

Sometimes you have a year where nothing goes right and you get smashed in the face, that happens, the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder to…

Harry Kane continues superb start to life at Bayern with Der Klassiker hat-trick

Harry Kane’s hugely impressive start to life at Bayern Munich continued as a hat-trick on his Der Klassiker debut sealed a 4-0 victory for the Bavarian giants at Borussia Dortmund.

Kane bagged his third treble in the Bundesliga in just his 10th match, taking his tally to 15 goals, as Bayern bounced back from their embarrassing German Cup exit to third division Saarbrucken in style.

Dayot Upamecano quietened the famously noisy Signal Iduna Park as Bayern made a fast start before Kane took centre stage, putting Bayern two goals to the good inside the opening 10 minutes.
